|Dr Shukri Ahmad is currently an Associate Professor and Coordinator of the Postgraduate Programme, in the Department of General Studies, College of Arts, Universiti Utara Malaysia. He earned his B.A. (Hons) in 1989 from Universiti Malaya, Kuala Lumpur. He received his M.A. (1994) from International Islamic University of Malaysia and his Ph.D. (2003) from Universiti Sains Malaysia. His teaching, writing and research interests revolves in the area of Islamic Philosophy, Islamic Civilization and Islamic Work Ethics. He is the author of two books namely Adab dan Etika Kerja dalam Organisasi, published in 2001 as well as Pengaruh Pemikiran Ulama di Malaysia Akhir Abad ke 20, published in 2011. He has written various articles both in national and international journals and most of his writings are related to Islamic Philosophy and Islamic Ethics. His interest in Islam was sparked by teaching of several courses such as Islamic Civilization and Islamic Comparative Management. Additionally, he has consitently shared his thoughts and opinion in various aspects of Islamic studies. Dr Shukri has also presented papers at many national and International Conference which relates to Islamic issues and ethnic relations.
